D.Başar Erol Başcumalı
Was born in İstanbul, 1979. She received her bachelor degree in Architecture at YTU-Istanbul, her master of science degree in Architectural Design at ITU-Istanbul and BTU-Cottbus Germany. She has practiced as an architectural designer in the firms of Foster+Partners and Erginoglu&Calislar, followed by freelance work in design and construction management. She participated in several design competitions, for which she received awards. She took lessons in classical piano from Prof. Ergican Saydam, and has taught as well. Her interest in photography grew over the years, especially through her travels, and this led her to pursue her PhD studies at MSGSU - Istanbul, Architectural Design Department, focusing on the issues 'light-colour-space', applying to the practice of architectural photography. She has developed an archive of photographs she has taken of modern buildings in Istanbul. After founding ArchiWink in 2010, in parallel to her architectural design works, she now serves professionally in cityscape&architecture&interior&landscape photography&spherical panoramas and virtual tours of spaces.
